It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of our friend, Thomas Taulbee. Thomas passed away suddenly last Sunday morning while out on a walk with his dog, Chambers.

Thomas was a leader in the community in his role at the Cashiers Chamber of Commerce and his chair position with the Jackson County Planning Commission. As a lover of the outdoors, he was passionate about Lake Glenville and the Cashiers community. Thomas served as a judge in the annual Boat Parade and continuously promoted Friends of Lake Glenville and our mission. Thomas was loved and admired by so many.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Thursday, November 30th at 5:30pm in Lewis Hall on the Village Green located on Frank Allen Road in Cashiers. In lieu of flowers, the family will share their charity of choice then. A live stream of the service will also be available through the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce YouTube Channel and the 48th Annual Cashiers Christmas Parade will be held in his loving memory. You can read the Chamber’s tribute to Thomas here.
