Join us on Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 9AM-12PM (NOON) and bring all your pent-up quarantine energy to help clear debris from the lake!
Get your boat or jet ski out and bring us anything you can pick up or drag to the Pine Creek Ramp where volunteers will pull it in for disposal. Be sure to have gloves, large plastic trash bags and some ropes with you and if you have a boat hook, it comes in mighty handy for snagging stuff. Because of our extreme spring rains, Lake Glenville is full of logs, branches and a record number of black “dock floats”-let’s get rid of them to make it safer for boaters and watersports. We suggest you start out working the area nearest to your home and dock and then move out from there. For those who have experience with the dock floats, there are at least 10 of them beached along the dam rocks-go for it and let’s try to break our record of 38 from last year!
As always, safety first, be very careful out there! We will be practicing current governmental social distancing guidelines and operating with as few volunteers at the pull-out as possible. Please do the same with 10 people or less on your boats.
Let’s have some fun and get this job DONE.
Text Chairperson Rebecca Wiler at 407-719-0050 with your name, phone # and the number of people who will be with you.
