2023 River Bypass Release & Recreation Flow Schedules Announced
The following river bypass releases and recreation flow schedules have been announced for the West & East Fork Tuckasegee Rivers. Schedules are also available for download below.FLG Receives Glenville Community Development Club Grant
Friends of Lake Glenville is honored to have received a grant from the Glenville Community Development Club. The grant, in the amount of $1000, has been awarded in support of FLG’s Water Quality Program and will help fund our water testing program in 2023.
FLG Scholarships Feature in NC Living Magazine
Entering its 3rd year, FLG's Doug Odell Scholarship Program awards area students money towards their advanced learning at a college of their choice. In Memoriam: Don Hansen

The FLG Board was recently notified about the passing of Don Hansen, one of our longtime members and responsible for the original work on FLG's Water Quality Program. Along with Doug Odell, Don created a program to collect water samples, conduct testing and report on the results. He and Doug along with other volunteers did this for FLG for many years and was instrumental in guiding what is our current program today.
Congratulations to FLG's First-Ever Gala Boat Parade Winners!
Our first-ever Gala Boat Parade celebrating the 25th anniversary of FLG's Fireworks Over Lake Glenville was a huge success! Despite a light rain, more than twenty boats participated. They were greeted by enthusiastic crowds along the shoreline.
