The Lake
Glenville VWIN Program In
June 2000, the Friends of Lake Glenville initiated a local branch of the VWIN
program to monitor seven selected stream sites monitored monthly and one control
site monitored twice annually in order to assess water quality conditions in
streams flowing into Lake Glenville.
With sedimentation and other pollutants from continued development
around the lake a growing concern, many citizens realize the need for continuous
monitoring of the streams flowing into the lake as a means of trying to
pinpoint sources of water quality problems.
The approximate location of all the monitoring sites can be found on the
map in Figure 1. Table 1 is a list of
the monitoring sites and their locations.
This condensed report represents some of the statistical analyses and
interpretation of data gathered by VWIN volunteers from June 2000 through July
