See unsafe or illegal boating behavior on the lake? Call North Carolina Wildlife in Raleigh at 800-662-7137. Put this number in your cell phone if you normally carry it with you in your vessel and make Lake Glenville a safer place to boat.

Our second Member Breakfast of the season will be on Saturday June 12, 2010, at 8:30am at the golf clubhouse at Trillium. The cost of this breakfast will be $15 per person. Our speaker will be Lisa Leatherman, Duke Energy lake manager, and possibly other lake management people from Franklin or Charlotte.
Those of you at the lake may get a telephone call to remind you about the breakfast, but the easiest way to RSVP is to email “flg@friendsoflakeglenville.com”. If you want to call to make a reservation, please telephone Ed Mohler at 743-3796.
If you haven’t renewed your membership for 2010 yet, please mail it in or bring it with you to the breakfast. Help with recruiting and bring a non-member friend or neighbor to the breakfast with you, and we’ll treat them to a free breakfast the first time. Just be sure and let us know they’re coming so we have food for them.
See you at Trillium!

The snow has disappeared, the trees are budding and the flowers are blooming, and the Friends of Lake Glenville 2010 Summer Season is about to begin. Please go to the Social page and put the various breakfasts and other social occasions on your schedule to attend. The breakfasts will have varied venues this year and a new start time, 8:30am, so you will have more time to enjoy your family, guests, and the lake afterward. The most attended event every year, the Grand Summer Social, will again be at The Lake Club in July.
Please also think about volunteering to help at one of the events, with lake and stream water testing, or as a committee member or even as a Board Member. If there are activities the FLG should be undertaking or events with which the FLG should be associated, send us an email or call any of the Board Members with your ideas and suggestions. This is YOUR organization devoted to Protecting and Preserving Lake Glenville.
