And the lights went out on Lake Glenville….
On Monday, August 21, 2017 at approximately 2:30 PM, we were lucky to have experienced the solar eclipse from within the “Zone of Totality”, the 70 mile wide path that crossed the continental United States from Oregon to South Carolina.
It was an exceptional experience and many lined the shores of Lake Glenville or were out in boats to witness this rare sight! People donned their special eclipse glasses and gazed skyward, breaking into cheers and applause when it went dark for those 2+ minutes when the path of the moon totally covered the sun. Enjoy these photos taken by FLG members. Special thanks to member Louise Geddes for many of the photos from her dock!
