NOTICE TO OUR MEMBERS ABOUT FLG EVENTS

In an effort to streamline the process, provide accurate and timely information to our participating venues, and ensure the best experience possible for all attendees, registration for all FLG Member Events* will take place online and must be completed in advance of the actual event. We are unfortunately no longer able to take walk-up attendees. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding and look forward to seeing you on the Lake!

To Register for an Event:

  • Individual: Choose this option if you are a single person attending an event by yourself.
  • Group Registration: Choose this option if you are attending with anyone else, including your spouse or partner who is also a Member, or bringing a guest.
* Unless otherwise signed. Does not apply to community service projects or events open to the public, such as lake clean-up or our July 4th fireworks celebration.

Join us and special guest speaker, EarthBalance founder Don Ross, on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 5 - 7:30pm for a cocktail party at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley to learn more about the work we do and “pre-game” for our annual Lake Clean-Up the next day! Guest Speaker: Don Ross

Don earned a Master of Science in Ecology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, before moving to Florida to work at an environmental testing laboratory. In 1985, he founded EarthBalance, which has grown into one of the premier natural land restoration firms in the country.

Over the course of his career, Don has chaired Florida’s Environmental Regulation Commission, served as an elected county commissioner, and been president of the Washington, D.C.-based Ecological Restoration Business Association.

Don and his wife, Nancy, started coming to Lake Glenville in the mid-1990s with their three young children, renting various houses on the lake. Eventually, they bought their own house, which has become the holiday meeting place for their children and grandchildren.
